Here is a list of some of the older and more modern famous violinist.

*Nicolo Paganini (1782-1840) Nicolo Paganini is the most famous violin players of all time. He also played the viola and guitar and wrote some music with guitar for people who knew him. His style was from the Italian opera. Even though he had teachers and tutors, Paganini had his own personality and style. He liked to find new sounds on the violin. Tone colours were also something he liked to look for. Paganini was born in 1782 and at the age of 12, he had already played in many concerts and wrote his own music.

*Henry Vieuxtemps (1820-1821) Vieuxtemps was born in 1820. He was one of the famous violin players who wrote and composed music. He started learning to play the violin at the age of four by his father and Beriot. He was traveling through Europe and Russia at the age of 17. As a soloist, he spent five years in Russia and made several trips to America.

*David Oistrakh (1908-1974) Oistrakh was another famous violinist who was born in 1908 in Ukraina. He started studying and playing the violin at age 5. He graduated from Odessa State Conservatory and continued playing well after graduation. He had a son in which Oistrakh taught at the Moscow Conservatory. He received many prizes and was named in the USSR as the People’s Artist in 1954.

*Nigel Kennedy (1956) Nigel Kennedy is considered world famous violinist. He had very eccentric ways that not all people liked. He recorded what is known to be “Vivaldi’s Four Seasons” and sold over a million copies, something that is unheard of when it comes to classical music.
